She loves the ocean

Cold embrace,

Icy kiss on her naked face.

The ocean she loves

It calls her name

With its wild ways, but it makes no claim.

She loves the ocean

Alone, to share,

Constant, calming, there.

Written in a reflective moment four days before the end of my seventh decade.
Inspired by the swimming women of Apollo Bay.
